If you would like more information, check the
announcement on the VTA website by linking to:

It explains the proposed Transit Service Plan and highlights the
changes by area in the county.
Or, you can contact Mary Ellen Haley in ESI at 441-5104 who can fax you a summary of proposed service changes. She indicates "it would be so great for some of our Social Services Agency staff and service providers in the 3 areas to attend one of the meetings and then give us all the scoop in the next newsletter-!!!!"
These meetings give people an opportunity to provide input into service changes for next year....and alot is happening right now. For example- VTA is proposing a new bus line 350 which will link Almaden Valley to the Whisman Shoreline area and Shoreline Industrial Park in Mountain View. It will operate on Coleman, Hamilton, Prospect, Lawerence, make a stop at Vallco then continue on highway 280 to Shoreline area. VTA also has plans to provide additional trips several on lines and discontinue others due to low ridership.
So if YOU have particular transportation concerns for clients in your area - (or for yourself for that matter) check out one of these community meetings and see if VTA' s new 2000-2001 Transit Service Plan covers it.
