Q: What benefits does the Senior Outreach Program provide?
A: The Senior Outreach Program assists older adults and disabled individuals with identifying and qualifying for services and benefits that enable them to lead healthy and self-sufficient lives.
Program staff educates interested seniors regarding various benefit programs and the eligibility requirements for each program. For those individuals that require assistance, program staff helps with the completion of applications or enrollment forms, reviewing required eligibility documents and submittal of the completed forms.
Q: Who is eligible for Senior Outreach Program services?
A: Participants must be residents of Santa Clara County and require assistance in Santa Clara County. Older adults and disabled individuals who are eligible for public assistance programs.
There are no income eligibility criteria to qualify for assistance, though most program participants live on relatively low, fixed incomes.
Q: What is the process for receiving services from Jump Start?
A: Interested CalWORKs participants must apply for the Jump Start Program through their CalWORKs Employment Technician. Once the approved client referral is received from CalWORKs staff, OUTREACH will forward the referral/application form to the program’s designated vehicle repair shop, CSAA’s Car Care Plus.
